PROGRESS SEQUENCES

The photos were taken from time to time during work on the paintings. I was trying to understand myself what went on. I felt that, as I continued with a painting, good things often seemed lost under subsequent layers. I wanted to see if that was true. I wanted to have some clarity about what went on as a painting progressed to the end. I couldn't very well explain my own decisions. What turned out was that there really was not a clear progress, more like wondering in the dark with uncertain goals. Not aimless, but not exactly purposeful either. The resulting sequences were interesting and mysterious enough to me, so I put them on the website.
